On Wednesday night we finished talking about Romans chapter 9, and moved on to Romans 10.  Next week we will work on the questions for chapter 10 beginning with #5 on page 172 of our books.

Note:  We will NOT be meeting the day before Thanksgiving, November 27.

On Wednesday night we started working on Romans chapter 9.  We finished questions 1 & 2 on page 171 of our workbook.

On Wednesday night we finished Romans chapter 8 , including the last 3 questions on page 166.  We then moved on and Read Romans chapter 9, as well as the commentary on pages 167-169.  Next week we will begin with the questions about chapter 9.

Last time we met we continued to work on Romans chapter 8.  We got through question 17 onpage 166 of our workbook.  Next time we'll pick up with question 18.


12 Reasons Why I QUIT Attending SPORTS Events

1. The coach never came to visit me.
2. Every time I went, they asked me for money.
3. The people sitting in my row didn't seem very friendly.
4. The seats were very hard.
5. The referees made a decision I didn't agree with.
6. I was sitting with hypocrites—they only came to see what others were wearing!
7. Some games went into overtime and I was late getting home.
8. The band played some songs I had never heard before.
9. The games are scheduled on my only day to sleep in and run errands.
10. My parents took me to too many games when I was growing up.
11. Since I read a book on sports, I feel that I know more than the coaches, anyway.
12. I don’t want to take my children because I want them to choose for themselves what sport they like best.

On Wednesday night we worked on the 1st chapter of Paul's letter to the Romans.  In our workbooks we answered the questions through number 5 on page 155.  Next time we'll continue on with chapter 2.

We will NOT be meeting on July 10, or on any Wednesday in the month of August.

On the Feast of St. Joesph the Worker we kept working our way through 2 Corinthians.  We read and discussed chapter 7, then answered question 12 on page 147.  We then read and discussed chapters 8 & 9 and will start the question in the workbook starting with number 13 next week.

On Wednesday night we continued working on 2 Corinthians.  We read and discussed 2 Cor. chapter 6, then answered questions 10 & 11 on page 146 of our workbook.  Next week we will move on to 2 Corinthians chapter 7.

Last time we met we returned to our discussion of 2 Corinthians.  We read chapter 4 and answered questions 6 & 7 on page 145 of our workbook.  Then we read and discussed chapter 5 and answered question 8 on page 146.

On Wednesday night we watched Scott Hahn's video presentation, "The Fourth Cup," which discussed the connections between the Passover, Passion, and Eucharist. 

Next time we will pick back up with 2 Corinthians chapter 4.

On Wednesday night we began with a prayer for our new Holy Father, Francis. 

Lord, source of eternal life and truth, give to your shepherd Francis, a spirit of courage and right judgement, a spirit of knowledge and love.  By governing with fidelity those entrusted to his care may he, as a successor to the apostle Peter, and Vicar of Christ, build your church into a sacrament of unity, love, and peace for all the world.  We ask this though our Lord Jesus Christ, your son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

We then continued working on 2 Corinthians.  We finished reading and discussing chapter 2 and moved on to chapter 3.  We answered questions in our workbook through the first section of question 5 on page 145.

Last night we began reading and discussing Paul's 2nd Letter to the Corinthians.  We read 2 Corinthians chapters 1 & 2, as well as the commentary pages 139 & 140.  We answered questions 1 & 2 on page 144 of our workbooks.

On Wednesday night we continued our slow walk through Paul's letter to the Ephesians.  We read and discussed chapter 5, then answered the rest of question 15 on page 137 of our workbook.  Next time we will turn the page and start on question 16 on page 138.

Last night we kept on working in Ephesians chapter 4.  When we finished we had answered the first part of question 15 on page 137 of the workbook.  Net week (which is Ash Wednesday,) we will read Ephesians chapter 5 and start with the rest of question 15.

On Wednesday night we continued working on the Letter to the Ephesians.  We read chapter 4 and answered questions 8 & 9 on page 136 of our workbooks, then read Ephesians chapter 4 and answered the first part of question 10 on page 136.  Next time we'll finish answering question 10 and move on from there.
